Last weekend Zachary and I headed up North to Santa Cruz for a friend’s birthday. Having never ventured past San Diego (just to clarify I am aware that is South), I was excited to explore some more of the West Coast. We bowled, mini golfed, explored, ate, drank, met some fantastic people-it was a grand old time!

“Life is a journey, not a destination”, right? Well that was also true for this trip. On Sunday morning Zach and I said our goodbyes and set off down CA-1, aka the COASTAL route, back to L.A.

Once you start down the 1, you are committed to a long, beautiful, epic drive. We stopped in Big Sur and explored Pfeiffer Beach, which Zach had visited once before. 

A while later we took a moment on “Seal Beach” (Not sure of the real name but it is where the seals like to hang).

After a wonderful, indulgent weekend we, ourselves were beginning to resemble Elephant Seals. Nothing a green smoothie can’t fix!
